New Delhi: Karnataka BJP chief BS Yeddyurappa has said that India’s air strikes on a terror camp in Pakistan on Tuesday has created a wave in favour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will help the party win over 22 of 28 seats in the state in the national election due by May.

Yeddyurappa said: Surgical strike 2.0 has once again revived the Modi wave. This will have an impact in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. Youths are celebrating this decision. Recently India has shot down an aircraft from Pakistan that entered India. Pakistan must be taught a lesson. PM Modi has delivered on his promise of avenging the massacre of our 40 jawans. The world has welcomed it. All party’s too have welcomed the move. As a result it is helpful for us to win more than 22 Lok Sabha seats in the upcoming polls.
Yeddyurappa’s comments have added fuel to the opposition’s allegation of “blatant politicisation” of the sacrifices of the armed forces by the “leaders of the ruling party (BJP).”
