UP CM Yogi transfers Rs 87 cr to 21,562 beneficiaries of CM rural housing scheme

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath said that the land on which a poor person had made his/her hut should be transferred in his/her name if the land was undisputed and not in any reserved category and, if required, houses could be built in clusters in some districts.

Speaking at a virtual programme held at his official residence here on Tuesday CM Yogi also said that a campaign should be launched to saturate all the beneficiaries of the Prime Minister Awas Yojana and Chief Minister Housing Scheme with the benefits of the government schemes like toilet, kitchen, electricity, Ayushman Bharat, and Jivan Jyoti schemes.

The CM issued these directions while transferring Rs 87 crore as the first instalment in the accounts of the 21,562 beneficiaries of the Chief Minister Housing Scheme (Rural).

“These beneficiaries should also be associated with self-employment programmes (goat, poultry, dairy, etc.) as per the requirement. They should also be given the necessary training and also be facilitated in getting bank loans and also be motivated for self-employment,” he said.

Those present in the programme included Rural Development Minister Moti Singh and other senior officials.

The CM also said that the local administration should ensure that the beneficiaries used the money in building houses and the poor got the bricks, cement etc. at reasonable prices.

He said nodal officers should also be appointed for weekly review of the construction of houses.

Yogi interacted with some of the beneficiaries and told them to construct a toilet along with the house. He also enquired from them about the government schemes from which they were getting benefits and instructed the district administration to hold a campaign and extend the benefits of the schemes to those who were eligible.

Night curfew in Delhi on December 31 and January 1 from 11 pm to 6 am: Govt order

New Delhi: Ahead of the New Year, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority on Thursday imposed a night curfew in Delhi, disallowing celebrations and the assembly of over five people at public places in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the new strain of the virus.

As per an order signed by Chief Secretary of Delhi Vijay Dev, no new year celebratory events, congregations, and gatherings at public places will be permitted from 11 pm of December 31 to 6 am of January 1, and also from 11 pm of January 1 to 6 am of January of 2.

“A detailed assessment of the situation in Delhi has been made and considering the threat posed by the mutant UK strain of COVID-19 virus and after observing the local incidents of Covid-19 pandemic in Delhi, it is apprehended that gatherings, congregations, and public celebrations of New Year pose a considerable threat of the spread of the virus and may cause a setback to the appreciable gains made in the suppression of chain of transmission of COVID-19 cases in Delhi,” the order said.

curfew

There will, however, be no restriction on the interstate and intrastate movement of persons and goods during the curfew period.

With this, Delhi joins the Punjab, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Rajasthan in the imposition of the night curfew to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

Farmers are “annadatas” and “backbone of the economy”, allegations should not be made against them: Rajnath Singh

New Delhi: Noting that farmers are “annadatas” and “backbone of the economy,” Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday strongly disapproved of remarks such as “Naxals” or “Khalistanis” in the context of protesting farmers and said “allegations should not be made by anyone” against them.

In an exclusive interview with ANI, the minister said that the farm laws have been made in the interest of farmers and the protesting farmers should see their implementation for two years.

He said the government was “pained” by the protest by farmers.

RAJNATH

Asked about “Naxals” or “Khalistani” remarks made in the past in the context of protesting farmers, he said such allegations should not be made.

“These allegations should not be made by anyone against farmers. We express our deepest respect towards our farmers. Our heads bow in deference and respect towards our farmers. They are our ‘annadatas’. In the time of economic recession, the farmers have borne the responsibility of taking the economy out of trouble. They are the economy’s backbone. They have taken the country out of troubled waters on several occasions,” Singh said.

He suggested that farmers who are protesting against three farm laws should engage in a logical debate on every clause with the government.

His remarks came ahead of the next round of talks between the protesting farmers and the government.

“My suggestion to the farmers is that there should be a logical debate on every clause of the farm laws. Where it will be felt that there is anything against the interests of the farmers, the government will do the needful to address their problems,” he said.

He said the government was working for the poor and marginalised sections of the society.

Farmers to begin relay hunger strike on Monday, urge citizens to skip one meal on Kisan Diwas

“Some forces have tried to create some misperceptions amongst farmers. We have also talked to several farmers. My only request to farmers is that clause-wise discussion based on logic should be done and not seek ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer. We will find a resolution to the problem. I have myself seen the laws and I am aware of the problems of the farmers. The farmers should at least see the implementation of these laws for two years as an experiment. We will be ready to make necessary amendments if there is a need. If the farmers want experts to talk with the government for amendment in certain clauses, we are entirely flexible,” he said.

Singh said the government has been working to boost the income of farmers through the farm laws and the Prime Minister was concerned about the issue before the 2014 election campaign.

“The fact is that the three farm bills have been made keeping the interests of the farmers in mind. Being one of the senior-most members of the cabinet, I have had the opportunity of interacting with PM Modi on several issues, I have seen that he has expressed concern on the farmers’ issues. Even before the 2014 election campaign, he had the thought of doubling the income of farmers,” Singh said.

He said the government has repeatedly said that MSP will continue.

farmers protest

“How will we renege on our promises? If leaders renege on promises in a democracy then the people punish them under this system. We are striving to increase the income of farmers,” he said.

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was pained about the farmers’ protest.

“There is no question of being insensitive as far as the subject of farmers is concerned. Our farmers are holding demonstrations and I am not the only one pained. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is pained as well.”

He was asked why no BJP leader had visited the farmers protesting on Delhi borders.

He said the Sikh brothers have sacrificed a lot for national security and the country will not forget that.

“The Sikh brothers have always protected the culture of the country. Their contribution will always be remembered for protecting the country’s self-respect. There is no question on their integrity.”

education facilities.

This government is expanding the scope of education and encouraging to start universities to provide advanced education facilities to the youth of the

Kushal Tandon & Newly Married Gauahar Khan Bump Into Each Other In A Flight
Kushal Tandon Accidentally Meets ‘Newlywed’ Gauahar Khan In A Flight, Watch (Photo Credit – Kushal Tandon/Gauahar Khan/Instagram)

Gauahar Khan and Kushal Tandon made a dreamy pair, but that is now just the past. The couple was a part of Bigg Boss 7 and created a lot of noise over their romance. However, things turned upside down soon after they came out of the house and the couple called it quits.

For the unversed, Gauahar tied the knot in a grand ceremony with Zaid Darbar last week. While the guestlist remained limited owing to the pandemic, many close friends including Hina Khan, Diandra Soares amongst others were sent greetings. Others including Hussain Kuwajerwala and wife Tina Darira were seen being a part of the celebrations.

As soon as the news of Gauahar Khan getting married to Zaid Darbar came out, all eyes were on Kushal Tandon. He even broke his silence on the same mentioning that he’s glad to see her happy. But life had its own twist when the Bigg Boss 7 couple accidentally bumped into each other in a flight.

Gauahar Khan had jetted off to Lucknow for work commitments days after her wedding with Zaid Darbar. Accidentally, Kushal Tandon was on the same flight too! The Beyhadh actor himself revealed it all on his Instagram story that featured him in the flight with the newlywed actress.

He could be heard saying, “I’m travelling to a destination and I have met my sweet old friend who has just got married and she is sitting next to me. We met by chance. I’m not stalking her. I’m going to my hometown and she is going for a shoot. But I’m so happy for her. She is looking so pretty. Meet Gauahar Khan!

“It’s a sign that I had to wish you in person,” Kushal Tandon adds, to which Gauahar Khan laughs.

Sara Ali Khan Says She’s Turned Greedy After Atrangi Re
Is Sara Ali Khan Ready To Lead A Solo Film? Coolie No 1 Actress Answers (Photo Credit – Sara Ali Khan/Instagram)

Sara Ali Khan began her career with Kedarnath in 2018 and has been treating fans with some exciting projects ever since. Two years into her career and she has already worked with stars like Ranveer Singh, Sushant Singh Rajput and Varun Dhawan. The actress is also collaborating with Akshay Kumar and Dhanush in Atrangi Re. But is she ready to finally lead a solo film? Read on to know what she thinks!

Koimoi recently got into an exclusive conversation with the Coolie No 1 actress. She spoke in length to us about the David Dhawan film releasing on the digital platforms. Another interesting scoop was about her staying away from father Saif Ali Khan. Today, we bring to you Sara’s take on leading a solo film.

Asked if she’s ready to lead a solo film, Sara Ali Khan answered, “I don’t know, it’s never about that for me. My career for me has never been about, ‘aaj commercial film karte hai, kal serious ya parso solo film karte hai or Ranveer (Singh) ke sath karte hai.’ Aisa nahi hota. Mere liye hamesha ye hota hai ki agar koi mujhe koi kahaani sunaye, and mujhe lagta hai ye kahani mujhe suhani hai. Ab wo chahe wo kahaani mai akeli suna rahi hu yam era chota hissa hai ya bohot bada hai – at the end of the day, I do want to tell good and relevant stories.”

(My career has never been about planning a commercial film today, doing a serious tomorrow or working on a solo film day after or one with Ranveer (Singh). It doesn’t work that way. For me, it’s about telling stories that I feel should be told. Now it doesn’t matter whether that film is solo or I have a small part to play in it.)

Sara Ali Khan continued, “But I do think that, especially after Atrangi Re, I do have become a a litte bit greedy and I do think that I want to do meaty things. Uska matlab ye nahi hai ki akele karna. I just want to do a role and a character that I can get into and a story that deserves to be told. I don’t like to complicate it more than that.”

Well, we love how Sara has everything sorted in her mind! More power to the actress.

Stay tuned to Koimoi for more exciting Bollywood scoops.

BJP ignores Muslims but using them to topple Govt, says Ashok Gehlot

New Delhi: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Friday slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for not giving tickets to Muslims during elections and accused BJP of “using” a Muslim leader to topple his government.

“BJP doesn’t give a ticket to Muslims during elections, but they are being used to topple the government,” said Gehlot. The Congress leader also criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his address at the centenary celebrations of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) on Tuesday.

Watch what Ashok Gehlot said:

“I have seen how the Prime Minister delivered a sweet talk in AMU. He spoke about secularism and several good things. But, does he practice that? There is a difference between his speech and action,” stated Gehlot while accusing BJP of not giving tickets to people from the minority community.

“Do they (BJP) give tickets to Muslims? There are so many seats in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and other states, but they do not give tickets to Muslims. Now there is a newly born Zafar Islam whom BJP uses as a tool to topple the governments of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan,” claimed Gehlot.

Ashok Gehlot

He further reiterated that President Ram Nath Kovind could not give time to the chief ministers of Congress-ruled Rajasthan, Punjab, Chhattisgarh to discuss the ongoing farmers’ issue as he might be under pressure.

“The CMs of three states had sought time from the President (to discuss the farmers’ issue over the recently enacted farm laws) but he did not give time to them. Perhaps the President is under pressure,” Gehlot said.

Ashok Gehlot -

“People are upset. But, this government does not care. Instead of working, they are doing meetings every day,”he added.

The chief minister accused the central government of passing the new farm laws without discussion. “Democracy is under challenge. Had they debated the farm Bills in the Parliament, this situation would not have arisen. Now, they are accusing opposition parties of this ruckus,” said Gehlot.

SEBI imposes Rs 25 crore fine on NDTV and 1 crore each on Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy | Full Order

New Delhi: SEBI imposed Rs. 27 crore penalty on Prannoy Roy, Radhika Roy, RRPR Holding for concealing price-sensitive information from NDTV shareholders.

While Rs. 25 crores have been imposed jointly and severally on all three promoters, Rs. 1 crore each has to be paid separately by Prannoy and Radhika Roy.

The SEBI ruled that the Roys acted in violation of Section 12A of the SEBI Act and the relevant rules of SEBI (Prohibition of Fraudulent Trade Practices relating to Securities Market) Regulations, 2003 (PFUTP Regulations) by failing to disclose information relating to three loan agreements entered into by them with Vishvapradhan Commercial Private Limited (VCPL) and ICICI bank.

RRPR Holdings had entered into a loan agreement with ICICI in October 2008. It had entered into two loan agreements with VCPL in 2009 and 2010 for borrowing Rs. 350 crores and Rs. 50 crores respectively.

SEBI held that the ICICI loan agreement and two VCPL loan agreements contained clauses and conditions which substantially affected the functioning of NDTV.

Additionally it noted that the VPCL loan agreements also warranted transfer of shares of NDTV by the promoters which was carried out off market by way of various inter se bulk transactions.

“Consequently, information about the said agreements and off-market transactions were essentially material, price sensitive information which would have influenced decision of investors about trading in shares of NDTV,” SEBI concluded.

Non-availability of such information unjustly deprived shareholders of informed participation while dealing with shares of NDTV, it added.

In June 2019, the SEBI had barred Radhika Roy and Prannoy Roy from accessing securities markets for two years on the same issue concerning the three contentious loan agreements.

Roys were also restrained from holding or occupying position as Director or any Key Managerial personnel in NDTV for a period of two (2) years by the 2019 order.
