WWE: Roman Reigns Is ON For A Fight With CM Punk!

It’s been years, we heard CM Punk dropping those famous pipe bombs. For loyal WWE fans, the straight edge society’s superstar made the PG era more interesting. And now, what if we say that he can make the present, the New era, more exciting and that too by fighting Roman Reigns.

Yes, you learnt that right! It’s not us making any speculations but the ‘Big Dog’ himself has dropped a major hint of what could be a possible contest. Even though the reigning champion isn’t fond of Punk’s personality, he’s up for the challenge if it’s good for business.

Recently, Roman Reigns graced the Loaded Management podcast. There he discussed his possible match with The Rock at Wrestlemania 37 and even spoke about CM Punk. He stated of being the guy who could get best out of the ‘Brahma Bull’.

Roman Reigns said, “I think I’m the guy. If there’s anyone to do it and anyone that he would feel comfortable within the ring and have a proper build-up and that can rise to the occasion, there’s no doubt in mind that I’m the guy. We’re definitely going to have to crack a lot of eggs on the way to that omelette.”

Speaking about CM Punk, he said, “All the way from someone as big as The Rock to someone like CM Punk – someone who really hits home with our audience and hardcore fans,” Reigns said. “If you’ve watched wrestling for the last 10-15 years and love it and it’s in your blood, then you probably have some kind of feelings about that guy. I know I do. Just by doing one of these things, he made my job a lot harder. If it’s something that the fans can get behind and can sink their teeth into and really dive into the creative with us, then I’m willing to do it.”

“I don’t like the guy. I don’t know many people who do. I just don’t know many who do, but I’m willing to put business first and make really good content if that’s the case. He’d probably have to be slapped around a few times in order to get his mind right, but if he’s willing and the fans and audience are going to like it and be into it, then most likely I’m going to be into it,” Roman Reigns concluded.

Mukesh Khanna To Create 3-Film Franchise On Shaktimaan: “Has To Be Bigger Than Krrish & Ra.One”

Every 90s kid would light up when you remind them of Shaktimaan. Played by Mukesh Khanna, it used to be the superhero of our generation. He would be our role model when there were no Avengers or Krrish. Well, there’s happy news for fans. A 3-film franchise on the first Indian superhero is all set to roll. Below is the scoop you need.

The creator is none other than the Mukesh himself. What will also leave fans suprised is the fact that not Mukesh, but another top Bollywood actor will be leading the project. The makers have been planning the project since long. However, there were budget restraints and then COVID-19 pandemic hit the world. Albeit, there is finally a green signal now.

Mukesh Khanna himself gave out the details in a conversation with mid-day. “Kids across the country write to me, requesting that I create a new season of the series. I know the excitement around the subject hasn’t dwindled. Shaktimaan is the first Indian superhero, after all. The makers of Krrish had Rs 150 crore [to make the film] and I didn’t, which is why it took so long to develop the plan. Now, everything is slowly falling in place. The project should have rolled by now, but the pandemic disrupted our plans,” he shared.

Shaktimaan trilogy is planned to go on floors in the second half of 2021. Mukesh Khanna without revealing details shared his plans of roping in a top actor. He further shared that the team is planning to match international standards.

“I can’t reveal who we are considering to play the new Shaktimaan. The final announcement will happen when the deal is sealed. Shaktimaan has to be bigger than Krrish and Ra.One [2011]. It has to be an Indian franchise with international standards,” said the Mahabharat actor.

Mukesh Khanna and Shaktimaan’s co-creator Dinker Jani will don the cap of executive producers. The duo is also planning to sign a suitable director for the project.

Talking about the same, Mukesh revealed, “We will work with our old team, too. The story spans from the Mahabharata till today. Our Satya Guru [Shaktimaan’s original avatar] is 5,000 years old. Shaktimaan is made with paanchbhoota [the five elements of cosmic creation]. We’ve started building the modern story on the concept where a young timid boy goes on to become [invincible].”

Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom is based on August Wilson’s award-winning play of the same name. Directed by George C. Wolfe the film follows the story of trailblazing blues singer Ma Rainey, portrayed by Viola Davis. Set in 1927 Chicago, the film deals with issues of race, music, relationships and the exploitation of Black recording artists.

It also features Glynn Turman, Colman Domingo and Michael Potts in key roles.

Recently, we learnt that Mural has been made in memory of Da 5 Bloods actor at Disney Downtown. Nikkolas Smith, who is the artist behind the tribute, even shared some images on social media. It featured Boseman giving the Wakanda salute to a young child wearing a Black Panther mask.

Along with the pictures, Nikkolas wrote, “This one is special. My King Chad tribute is now on a wall on display at Downtown Disney. It is a full-circle moment for me: my final two projects as a Disney Imagineer last summer were working on the Children’s Hospital project and the Avengers Campus. To millions of kids, T’Challa was a legend larger than life, and there was no one more worthy to fill those shoes than Chadwick Boseman. I’m so thankful to be able to honour Chadwick’s life and purpose in this way. I am grateful to the Disney family for being so supportive of my journey as an artist.”

Best known as Black Panther, Chadwick Boseman was battling stage 4 colon cancer. On August 28, he bid goodbye to everyone.

Now, joining the list is American Basketball player, Lebron James. Apart from the price he paid, there’s another interesting thing about Lebron’s villa. Below is all you need to know.

Back in July, the reports of the star Basketball player’s deal were doing rounds but now, a lot more details have come out. Reportedly, Lebron has paid $36.8 million for the famous villa. Huge, isn’t it?

Situated in Beverly Hills, the villa was built in 1930 and has a long celebrity history. Initially, it was owned by actor Charles Boyer and remained with him for years. Then it went to actress Katharine Hepburn and in 1986, it was purchased by soap opera pioneer Lee Phillip Bell. And finally, in June 2020, the property was purchased by Lebron James for $36.8 million.

Lebron James’ property includes a sunlight-flooded living room with a vaulted ceiling and exposed ceiling beams, an ethereal dining room set beneath a huge skylight. It also has a carpeted library with built-in bookcases. There’s also a lavish movie theatre present inside.

Further, it includes two detached guesthouses, multiple open-air dining and entertaining areas and a tennis court. The oval swimming pool is also amongst the several other features. Surely, Lebron will be enjoying the time of his life!

Meanwhile, back in May, Comedian-actor Steve Harvey too bought himself a luxurious mansion. Earlier, none other than, comedian-actor Tyler Perry used to stay there.

Speaking about the luxurious pad, Steve Harvey’s Atlanta mansion is spread across 17 acres of land with an area of 35,000 square feet. Situated in Buckhead district, the mansion comprises of the seven-bedroom. It also has an underground ballroom, a huge infinity pool with a bar, illuminated tennis court, gym, spa, theatre, indoor pool, wine cellar and guest house.

Reportedly, Tyler Perry bought the property for $ 9 million in 2007. He later sold it to businessman David Turner in 2016 for $ 17.50 million. This year, Steve purchased it for $ 15 million.

Whereas the production house (Endemol) is making a constant effort to convince her. As per Sukhvinder, her Trishul has all divine powers and if she leaves that and enters the house, she will have to keep her powers also out. But as per the rules and keeping contestants’ safety in mind, the channel is not allowing anyone to carry any dangerous instrument inside. Well, the discussion is on among both the parties and no conclusion has come yet.”

Hathras gangrape victim “murdered by ruthless government”: Sonia Gandhi

New Delhi: Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday attacked the Yogi Adityanath government over the death of Hathras gangrape victim, saying she “did not die but was murdered by ruthless government” and “her body was consigned to flames forcibly”.

“Crores of people in this country are sad and angry over the brutal incident of Hathras, which is a blot on our society. I want to ask, being a girl is a crime? Being a poor girl is a crime? What was UP government doing that they could not hear the voice of the family seeking justice? They tried to suppress the matter. Right medical facilities were not provided to the victim on time,” Sonia Gandhi said in a video statement.
She described 19-year-old victim, who died in Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital on Tuesday, as Nirbhaya of Hathras.

“A girl has left us. I want to say that Nirbhaya of Hathras did not die, she was murdered by a ruthless Uttar Pradesh government, its administration and its neglect.”When she (victim) was alive, she was not given justice, she was not protected,” she said.

Sonia Gandhi alleged that the victim’s final rites were performed forcefully and her body was not taken to her residence.

“She (the victim) was not handed to her family. A weeping mother could not give a final farewell to her daughter. It is a big sin. She was cremated forcefully,” Gandhi said.

“There is dignity also after death. Our Hindu religion talks about it. But she was consigned to flames using the police force? What kind of justice is this? What is this government? You think you can do anything and this country will remain silent. No, this country will speak against your injustice,” she said.

Gandhi further said that the Congress party stands with the family of the victim.

“On behalf of Congress, I stand with the victim family’s demand for justice. India belongs to all its citizens and all have a right to live with dignity. The Constitution has given us this right. We will not let BJP destroy the constitution and the country,” she said.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had also slammed the Uttar Pradesh government over the incident.

“All this is a shameful move of the UP government to suppress the Dalits and show them their ‘place’ in the society.Our fight is against this hateful thinking,” he said.

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi said Yogi Adityanath has no moral right to continue as Chief Minister.

Uttar Pradesh government on Wednesday announced that kin of Hathras gangrape victim will be given Rs 25 lakh as ex-gratia and a house, and a government job will be given to a member of the family.

The government has formed a three-member SIT to probe the case and said the matter will be heard in the fast track court.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath spoke to the family of the victim through video conferencing.

This brings the aggregate investment by Silver Lake and its co-investors in RRVL to ₹ 9,375 crore, which will translate into a 2.13% equity stake in RRVL on a fully diluted basis. This latest investment values Reliance Retail at a pre-money equity value of ₹ 4.285 lakh crore.

Uttar Pradesh: 22-yr-old gang-raped in Balrampur; dies of injuries, 2 arrested

Balrampur (Uttar Pradesh): A 22-year-old woman, who was allegedly gang-raped in Balrampur died on Wednesday.

Dev Ranjan, Superintendent of Police (SP), Balrampur, said that the victim’s family alleged that two men raped her.
“We have received a complaint in which the family of a 22-year-old woman said that she used to work at the firm. On Wednesday, she did not return from the firm. Later, when she did return home on a rickshaw, she had a glucose drip inserted in her hand,” Ranjan told ANI.

“She died on the way when the family was taking her to the hospital. They claimed that two men raped her. Both of them have been arrested,” he said.

Former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav made a jibe at the Yogi Adityanath government, asking it to not “attempt a cover-up” as in the Hathras case.

“After Hathras, another gang-rape incident has surfaced in Balrampur in which the woman died after torture. The BJP government should not attempt a cover up here like Hathras and should quickly take action against the accused,” his tweet in Hindi read.

New Delhi: Special CBI court in Lucknow to pronounce their verdict today, in Babri Masjid demolition case. The court has asked all 32 accused to be present in the court. Security tightened at the court premises, ahead of the hearing.

A bench of the apex court, headed by Justice Rohinton Fali Nariman, had on August 19 passed an order extending the deadline for pronouncing the judgement till September 30.

The top court had, in its last order, granted the trial court CBI judge in Lucknow time till August 31 to pronounce the judgement.

The Supreme Court order came on a plea filed by special judge Surendra Kumar Yadav, who is hearing the matter related to the demolition of Babri Masjid, seeking more time to pronounce the judgement in the cases.

Chadwick Boseman’s tragic death is still hard to digest for many of us. Apart from his superlative performances, he was a fan favourite because of his humble and giving nature. Many from the fraternity believe that it’s hard to find a man like him. Such similar sort of words are now coming in from Sienna Miller, who worked with the late actor for 21 Bridges.

For the 2019’s film, the Black Panther actor was one of the producers and also played a lead role along with Sienna. Recently, during an interview, she revealed that Boseman played a huge role in getting her role as Frankie Burns. She also stated that the actor gave her a chunk of his salary so that she could continue working as a co-producer. Isn’t that really kind of him?

While speaking to Empire, Sienna Miller said, “He (Chadwick Boseman) was a fan of my work, which was thrilling, because it was reciprocated from me to him, tenfold. So he approached me to do it, he offered me this film, and it was at a time when I really didn’t want to work anymore. I’d been working non-stop and I was exhausted, but then I wanted to work with him.”

Sienna Miller added that she asked for proper pay for which the studio didn’t agree back then. And then Chadwick Boseman came to rescue.

“I said, ‘I’ll do it if I’m compensated in the right way.’ And Chadwick ended up donating some of his salary to get me to the number that I had asked for,” she said. “He said that that was what I deserved to be paid,” she added.

Sienna further stated that such behaviour is hard to find in the entertainment industry and was astonished by Boseman’s act.

“It was about the most astounding thing that I’ve experienced. That kind of thing just doesn’t happen. He said, ‘You’re getting paid what you deserve, and what you’re worth.’ It’s just unfathomable to imagine another man in that town behaving that graciously or respectfully. In the aftermath of this, I’ve told other male actor friends of mine that story and they all go very very quiet and go home and probably have to sit and think about things for a while. But there was no showiness, it was, ‘Of course I’ll get you to that number because that’s what you should be paid,'” Sienna Miller said.

Ex-Dharma Productions’ Executive Producer Kshitij Prasad Was Supplied With Ganja For More Than A Dozen Times

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) which arrested Kshitij Prasad, former Executive Producer of the Dharma Productions in connection with the drug investigation related to Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case allegedly purchased ‘ganja’ around a dozen times over a three-month period and paid Rs 3,500 each time for the 50 gm of the contraband.

Kshitij was arrested by the NCB on Saturday. NCB sources said that during the searches at this residence on Friday, the agency recovered a joint believed to be remains of smoked ganja from the residence of Kshitij and also some documents and gadgets.

An NCB source said that during her questioning, alleged peddler Ankush Arneja, who was arrested on September 12, identified Sanket Hanuman Chand Patel as the supplier of drugs to Kshitij Prasad.

On her revelations, Patel was arrested and confessed that he supplied ganja/weed to Arneja on the instructions of another accused Karamjeet Singh.

The NCB source said that Kshitij was delivered ganja by Karamjeet outside his building in Mumbai’s Andheri West area. “Kshitij was provided ganja for more than a dozen of times between May to July this year. He used to make a payment of Rs 3,500 for every delivery of 50 grams of ganja from Karamjeet,” the source added.

The source further said that the drug law enforcement agency is verifying if Kshitij passed on the contraband to others in Bollywood. The source further disclosed that as a buyer, Kshitij was indirectly part of transactions linked to another case co-accused from whom the agency had seized a variety of narcotics in commercial quantities in the last few days.

The NCB, meanwhile, in its remand copy in a Mumbai court, said that Kshitij is indirectly connected with an accused Anuj Keshwani, from whom narcotics seized in commercial quantities of the contraband. The city court on Sunday remanded Kshitij to the NCB’s custody till October 3. Keshwani is already in judicial custody.

The NCB source said that the agency is investigating to whom Kshitij delivered contraband in Bollywood.

The source further said that as Kshitij bought ganja 12 times in three months from a peddler, it needs to be verified if such frequent purchases were for personal consumption or they were passed on further to others.

The agency has so far arrested 20 people in the case.

Based on disclosures by Keshwani, the NCB had on September 12 searched the premises of another accused, Ankush Arneja, seizing 42 gram of charas and cash worth Rs 1.12 lakh and certain documents.

Arneja’s statement was recorded under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS), wherein she stated that she supplied hashish to Prasad via co-accused Sanket Patel on various occasions, according to the NCB.

Arneja was arrested and is in judicial custody.

The NCB had on Saturday interviewed actors Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor in connection with the probe. The agency also questioned Padukone’s manager Karishma Prakash. On Friday, the NCB also questioned Bollywood actor Rakul Preet Singh and several others.

The NCB has already arrested Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik and several others.

Google Doodle honours India’s Iconic actress Zohra Segal

New Delhi: Google on Tuesday honored India’s Iconic actress and dancer Zohra Segal by featuring her in a doodle on its homepage.

Segal was among the country’s first artists to receive Padma Shri in 1998, the Kalidas Samman in 2001 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2010.

She was also recognized internationally.

It was on this day in 1946 that Segal’s film Neecha Nagar (Lowly City) released at the Cannes Film Festival.

Tuesday’s doodle was designed by guide artist Parvati Pillai. “I grew up watching her as the evergreen granny and have been enthralled by her love for acting and dancing, especially in her twilight years. She taught me what it meant to be passionate about my work and to never be afraid of new challenges,” said Pillai.

“Zohra Sehgal lived her life to the fullest. In today’s challenging times, it is important to be optimistic and keep smiling!” Pillai added.

Bhagat Singh was born in Banga village of Faisalabad district (previously called Lyallpur) now in Pakistan’s Punjab province in 1907.

The revolutionary freedom fighter was a charismatic Indian socialist revolutionary whose two acts of dramatic violence against the British in India and execution at the age of 23 made him a folk hero of the Indian Independence movement.

Singh, who was hanged in the Lahore jail along with Shivaram Hari Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar on March 23, 1931, left a strong impact during his lifetime.

His happy phase isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Making the year more special, a baby son entered the lives of the actor and his fiancée, Rooney Mara, last month.

Now, the most interesting part is, the Joker actor has named his son after his late brother River Phoenix. River had worked in films like Stand by Me, Running on Empty. He died in 1993, at the age of 23. He breathed his last due to a drug overdose.

On several occasions, Joaquin Phoenix has been seen getting emotionally for his late brother. While speaking with Anderson Cooper in a “60 Minutes” interview, the actor has been quoted, “In virtually every movie that I made, there was a connection to River in some way. Now, by naming his son as River, Phoenix has dedicated a special tribute to his brother.

The same was confirmed by director Victor Kossakovsky at Zurich Film Festival. Victor has directed Gunda, which enjoyed screening at the film festival during the last weekend. The affair is produced by Joaquin Phoenix.

For the unversed, Phoenix and Rooney Mara got engaged last year and during May this year, the news of Mara’s pregnancy broke in.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Phoenix was reportedly offered a whopping $50 Million for Joker 2 and 3 by Warner Bros.

As per a report in The Mirror, “Joaquin Phoenix wants to play this character again, despite the controversies that came with the release last year. They plan to make two sequels in the next four years, with a long-term commitment to Joaquin, director Todd Phillips and producer Bradley Cooper. It’s all about getting Joaquin to accept the terms – and the biggest payday of his career by far.”
