Priyanka Chopra Grooves To This Popular Dance Number At The Isha Ambani- Anand Piramal Sangeet Ceremony
The Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal wedding is the next big (if not bigger) wedding. The pre-wedding ceremonies have already begun in Udaipur and most of Bollywood’s biggest stars flew there to be a part of the celebration. And what a celebration it was! We saw Shah Rukh Khan and his wifey Gauri Khan shaking a leg for the first time ever, whereas we also saw SRK and Aamir Khan dance together. What’s more? Salman Khan made one kickass background dancer as he grooved to SRK’s Koi Mil Gaya. Even Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan gave us serious nostalgia by dancing to Tere Bina from their film Guru.
While our Instagram feeds have been flooded with all these videos and the recent one to make an appearance, is the video of Isha Ambani’s best friend Priyanka Chopra dancing to one of her most popular song Desi girl from Dostana. You can see that she brings the groom up on the stage for the song and Isha also joins in.
Check it out:
Well… TBH, this Sangeet ceremony looked more like an award show with that grand stage and all those dancers. Looks like the wedding ceremony will also take place in the coming days.
What did you think?

Almost the entire B-town is currently in Udaipur for Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal‘s wedding festivities. Everyone from Gauri and Shah Rukh Khan to Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Aishwarya Rai & Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Varun Dhawan, Karan Johar, Vidya Balan, Karisma Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor and several others are present there – one can only imagine how starry and glamorous the functions must be.
Newly weds, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh also flew down to the City Of Lakes this weekend. DP let her hair down in true diva style as she was spotted dancing to the popular chartbuster, Chogada Tara.
Check it out:
Love love love! Honestly, this song can make anyone put on their dancing shoes.

New Delhi: Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) on Saturday handled a record 1,004 aircraft movements in a day, bettering its earlier record of 1,003 flight movements in 24 hours in June this year.
Sources said the feat was achieved in the wake of the pre-wedding bash of Isha Ambani, daughter of industrialist and India’s richest person Mukesh Ambani, in Udaipur in Rajasthan.
They said a host of politicians, corporate honchos and Bollywood stars flew in private jets from Mumbai to attend the celebrations that started on Friday.
A Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL) spokesperson confirmed that the airport handled a record 1,004 arrivals and departures on Saturday, but did not divulge the factors leading to the surge in traffic movement.
“Mumbai airport handled a record 1,004 flights in a single day on Saturday. The earlier best for the airport was 1,003 arrivals and departures which was achieved on June 5,” the spokesperson said.
As many as 903 scheduled, 59 non-scheduled, eight charter, 31 freighter and three military flights were handled by the airport, the spokesperson said.
The June 5 record was on account of a number of flight diversions to the Mumbai airport following the dust storm that hit New Delhi.
Earlier in the day, the MIAL spokesperson had said the airport recorded 1,007 aircraft movements Saturday but did not give the break-up.
According to the sources, the airport witnessed increased charter aircraft operations on Saturday due to the pre-marriage celebrations of Isha Ambani, who is set to marry Piramal scion Anand Piramal on Wednesday at Antilia, the residence of the Mukesh Ambani family in south Mumbai.
Mumbai airport, with two crossing runways – 09/27 (the main) and 14/32 (the secondary runway) – is the main hub of full-service carrier Jet Airways and budget airline GoAir.
While the primary runway can handle up to 48 arrivals and departures per hour, the secondary runway has a capacity of 35 flight movements per hour.
The GVK-consortium-led Mumbai airport handled 48.49 million passengers in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2018, registering a 7.4 per cent growth over FY17.

Sunil Grover and Kapil Sharma broke off all ties after their infamous mid-air flight last year. Several efforts were made to bring the two comic stars together – but in vain – and the two eventually went their separate ways. While Kapil will be seen on The Kapil Sharma Show after a long gap, Sunil has bagged Salman Khan‘s Bharat and will also be starring in an upcoming TV show, Kanpur Wale Khurranas.
Sunil recently told PTI that Sallu, who is reportedly producing Kapil’s show, discussed the possibility of the two getting back together. He said:
Salman sir is producing that show. My own dates would have clashed (with Kapil’s show) as I am doing a film with Salman sir. This show that I am doing for Star Plus (Kanpur Wale Khurranas) fitted in the window that I had. But he (Salman) did speak to me briefly about it (bringing the two of us together). We had a very casual chat about it but nothing much.
Well, Salman did try, that’s all one can do.

The Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal wedding is underway and it’s probably the most opulent affair of this year. From Bollywood’s hottest A-listers to the industrialists and celebrities, the guest list of the Ambani-Piramal wedding is a long one, and very, very glamorous as well. But let’s forget about Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone with their plus ones for a second, and instead focus on Hollywood’s most prominent faces like Hilary Clinton, Arianna Huffington and Beyoncé.
Beyoncé stunned the crowd in not just one but three Indian designer-clad outfits. Scroll below to check out the looks she performed in…
In Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla
It’s safe to say that this red hot number had all our jaws drop to the floor. The tulle mirror sheet dress had embellished tiny mirror pieces and beads with an organza shoulder drape. With AJSK’s signature detailing, Beyoncé’s figure-hugging dress included a high-hip slit and some stunning jewellery from Pink City by Anita Dongre.
In Falguni & Shane Peacock
The custom-made bodysuit was dripping in gold, emerald crystals and sequins. Paired with gold Sergio Rossi, thigh-high boots, Beyoncé looked like a true goddess.
In Shivan & Narresh
Beyoncé dazzled in a bejewelled swimsuit encrusted with over 850 crystals ranging from rubies to emeralds to aquamarines, to pearls and a mix of tribal beads. The swimsuit included sleeves crafted in black raffia from their Koi Series.
Which look out of the three did you like best? Let us know in the comments below.

Anushka Sharma and Salman Khan were first seen together on-screen for Ali Abbas Zafar‘s Sultan in which both of them played wrestlers. And we all know what a blockbuster hit that turned out to be. Now, reports in DNA suggest that the duo will be sharing screen space yet again! Not just that, it may just be for Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s next. Earlier this year, Salman had apparently disclosed that he will be collaborating with SLB once again. Salman has earlier been a part of two of his films, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Saawariya. While Anushka hasn’t signed any film yet, she is reportedly considering Sanjay’s next. The reports also suggest that Salman is the one who suggested Anushka’s name for the movie.
This will be the first time that Anushka will be collaborating with the magnum opus director and it will be amazing to see her in a never-before-seen avatar.
Currently, Anushka is busy promoting her upcoming release alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. While Salman is shooting for his next Bharat.
Wouldn’t be amazing to see the duo team up yet again against the grandeur of an SLB film?

Sara Ali Khan‘s debut film, Kedarnath released last Friday, 7th December and the debutante has left everyone impressed. Not only the audiences but also the critics have loved her performance and are all praises for her. Since so much was written about Sara already, there was no way Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan would miss watching her debut film. The couple finally saw Kedarnath at a preview theatre over the weekend and we know Bebo’s reaction to Sara’s performance.
Like most of us, Kareena has loved Sara’s performance in the film. According to a report in Mid-Day, Bebo will be hosting a bash for Sara welcoming her to the movies. As per the report, she will be personally looking into the arrangement.
A source revealed:
Kareena is planning to host a get-together next week. She was impressed with Sara’s powerful performance in Kedarnath. With an impending entertainer in Simmba, Kareena thinks Sara has been judicious with her choice of movies and has the potential to make it big in the industry. Kareena Kapoor Khan will invite her and Saif’s close friends to the do. She will personally be overseeing the arrangements for the bash.
Post this, Saif and Kareena, along with their son Taimur Ali Khan will be heading for their annual holiday.
We are waiting to see the pictures from the celebrations. It will be so much fun!

The past month has been all about weddings in B-town. After Deepika Padukone–Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra–Nick Jonas, wedding bells are now ringing for Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal. Almost the entire film industry is currently letting their hair down in Udaipur for the next big wedding of the country. Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan Perform At Isha Ambani & Anand Piramal’s Pre-Wedding Celebrations
Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal‘s wedding is probably one of the grandest affairs of the year. The Ambani clan has influential guests arriving from all parts of the world to join their celebrations. Of course, Bollywood celebrities are a part of it too and they’re not just attending the wedding but performing during the pre-wedding celebrations as well. Two of Bollywood’s most loved jodis, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan and Aishwarya Rai – Abhishek Bachchan danced to some entertaining Bollywood songs and both their performances added to all the festivities in a huge way as they got the guests hooting for them.
SRK who also hosted the event shook a leg to Dilliwali Girlfriend from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani with his wifey, Gauri.
Check it out:
Looks super fun, doesn’t it?
While SRK and Gauri had a chill vibe on stage, Ash and Abhishek brought in the romance with Tere Bina from Guru.

This certainly looks like one lavish wedding that I wish I was invited to and these performances by B-Town’s favourites are adding to the fun quotient as well!

Soha Ali Khan and Inaaya Naumi Kemmu are one of the cutest mother-daughter duos in Tinseltown. Everytime that Inaaya is spotted in the city or with her parents at any B-Town event, we can’t help but fall in love with the cutie-patootie all over again. Soha and Kunal Kemmu are doting parents and often give us glimpses of their baby girl on Instagram too. Neha Kakkar and Himansh Kohli recently started dating and were seen making many appearances together. The duo whose social media PDA was quite evident, looked quite cute together and fans couldn’t help but ship them. Neha and Himansh even featured in a music video together and things seemed to be going great for them.
However, in a world where everything this instant, there are hardly any relationships that last for long. Sadly, it seems like that might just be the case with them too. Neha and Himansh seem to have broken up and they made like most things these days, they made it Insta-Official by unfollowing each other.
Multiple posts of them together seem to have been deleted from the singer’s profile as well. We wonder what went wrong between the cute couple and if this is a lover’s spat or if they’ve called quits. However, both parties haven’t made a statement yet. *Sigh
Here are a few photos of the couple from before:

Kalki Koechlin is one of the most versatile actresses we have in the industry today. Not only did she shun the stereotyped big Bollywood debut to start her career on the indie side of things, but she also broke boundaries by playing challenging characters on screen. I mean, who can forget Margherita With A Straw, right? On the other hand, she wasn’t afraid to make the leap from movie screens to theatres to podcasts and latest, at the top of her list is an audiobook that she has narrated.
I recently caught up with Kalki and she spilled some major tea on the audible audiobook called Mafia Queens Of Mumbai that she has narrated along with Rajkummar Rao and Radhika Apte, and her next big upcoming release Gully Boy.
Kalki, you’ve done movies, you’ve done theatre, you’ve done podcasts and now you’re narrating an audiobook. So how did that come about?
It came about through my manager giving me a call. But I was super excited because I already read the book a few years back when it came out. I loved all the stories and I thought you’d never get to see that spectrum of female dons. I already knew the story so I didn’t have to think about it much, I was like yeah… these are fun stories to narrate. It’s still very much an actor’s job to find those little nuances and find those different voices of each character and things, so I had fun.
Do you think you had an upper hand because you’ve already done podcasts and theatre?
I think the podcast gave me a head start for sure. Of course, doing theatre and acting is going to help. But doing podcasts, because I was listening to so many podcasts, I kind of got an idea of what works when you’re listening and it’s not as loud as when you’re acting on stage or even in films. It’s much more subtle. You have to stare at the narrator the whole time and you just add in a little bit of colour. So definitely the podcasts helped me.
Do you think it was a big leap because you’re an actor? Not every day do you see actors jumping into other mediums, but you’ve always done that.
I don’t think its been anything new for me. I’ve been doing spoken word and I’ve been doing a lot of playing with rhythm and speech. I enjoy doing that. For me, it’s not a big leap and I think it’s been happening in other parts of the world a lot. You know, we’ve seen Nicole Kidman, big actors really voicing. You do it in animation, you do it in audible. I think its nothing new for us here in India.
It’s a pretty big step because you don’t see actors doing this.
But then we didn’t really see actors doing web series but now they’re lining up to do it. I think it is the new medium.
I want to know more about the story you are narrating- Mafia Queens of Mumbai. It’s basically stories about women from the other side…
The big part that I narrated was Jena Bhai. She was a very interesting and manipulative woman. She kind of quietly went about making things happen for different gangsters. Bringing peace between rivalling gangsters and it’s really interesting to see that she seems like an uninteresting sort of woman in the background that serves chai and stuff. But she’s kind of directing these bigger gangsters. That’s the main story. Then there were these funny stories that I also read, this one about Chota Shakeel. He was having affairs with many women. They were having cover names, they weren’t really their names. So these women were writing to him because he was in Dubai. They were writing to him with all the details. They were spying for him and they were also having affairs on the side. So he would romance these women and get them to spy for him. It was a very funny sort of story where you in between the business you get like “Meri Jaan, Kaise ho”. Love letters in between the business letters. Like I got the drugs sorted now, darling. Very sort of 1940 detective stories.
Talking about the film industry, do you think it has changed through the years because you’ve always called them out for excessive show and glamour it projects. And somewhere foregoing the importance of acting?
I think there is a lot of more opening up in terms of content and I think that’s really evident especially in the world of web series. It also means there is a lot more rubbish because there’s so much… it’s like cowboy land right now and everyone wants peace. It’s going to take time to figure who is actually doing quality work. But the web series section has definitely opened up jobs for so many people. It’s not based on just the hero-heroine story. Usually, there are so many characters involved in a web series that even if you are the so-called sidekick, you have a proper graph.
But what about the films, do you think films lack it?
No, I think Badhai Ho is a good example of a film. You see an older romantic couple. That’s something new. We haven’t seen that kind of content and that’s doing well. So I do think this will force a shift in cinema. It kind of takes a circle, the web series influence the cinema because the audience wants more choice. So I think that’s a really good place and healthy competition that we are getting. There’s nothing wrong with glamour either. I don’t have a problem with something having glamour. There are very glamorous films like Casablanca which are classics. But at the same time, I think the story needs to be interesting and driving the film not the celebrity or not the effects.
Is that why you think there’s a certain negative notion about people who are aspiring actors?
No, it’s just a very hard career. There’s no guarantee even when you’re already established that you’ll have work. You will have times where you are just waiting. You need to create some other work, that’s what I do because I can’t sit around. It’s not a stable kind of job, but that’s also the fun of it. We never find ourselves repeating. We are never in the same place at the same hour of the day. It’s different every day but at the same time, it comes with the price of not knowing what your next project is.
What about women in cinema? From when you began doing movies, do you think the roles you are offered are different now?
I think I already came at a point where it was changing. I think if you look at the ’90s, in comparison to the 2000s, there has been a lot of change in cinema, a lot of cult. I think Dev-D was like a cult classic in the sense it didn’t pick up in the box office immediately but over time it’s a film people will remember. You’d watch it again. So I think that had already started happening. But of course, there’s plenty more work to be done in terms of roles for women. I think that will come when women are also writing for cinema cause then you get the female gaze and not just the male gaze. You know female directors…
I have started working with Nitya, Zoya, Alankrita. They have been directing me in Made in Heaven. Rakhi, Anu Menon…So many women directors I have been interacting within the last few years. I think that’s a good sign.
Do you think there’s a difference when you work with male directors and female directors?
You know it’s not like because they are women they are more sensitive. It’s not necessary. If you look at Reema Kagti’s films they are sort of masculine in terms of the subject — heist or action. So I don’t necessarily think that because you are a female director its going to be a feminine subject. But I do think that it brings a different interpretation of the same scenes. Of course, me being a woman there are certain scenes where I feel far more comfortable. Like on the set of Magherita With A Straw, we had some very sensitive sex scenes. It was really great that the director and the DOP were women. No men on set. I think it was hard for William being the boy who had to be naked on set. But you know it did help for sure. It does feel safer.
I think that’s what’s changing in the film industry now because there are more women DOP’s, technicians. I think it has to come from there. If you look at the film set, 90% of the people are male. That’s the imbalance. It’s not that we have to artificially start creating only female characters in a story, that’s not realistic. We have to make the environment conducive for both men and women together.
When you are talking about a conducive environment for both the genders, what about pay parity?
I think its very unfair at the moment. There definitely needs to be equal pay.
Back when F.R.I.E.N.D.S was happening, all of the actors took a stand to say all of us need to get paid equally for the series. So, do you think that kind of a stand is lacking in Bollywood?
I don’t know if it is lacking, in the sense that again it goes back to the business of it. If you are doing a male hero oriented film and the female has a smaller part and is only there to prop up the male’s story then you can’t be expected to pay the female as much as the male. Because the male is bringing the box office earnings. However, when you have a film like Queen where the hero is a woman, you know Kangana leads the film then she will get paid most. So it again goes back to telling the story from the perspective of women as well as men.
What about supporting actors then?
I feel the number of days should equal the number of pay for both genders. The number of time you give to your work should be equal for both genders, for all genders in fact.
Tell us about your upcoming projects? Everyone wants to know what you’re up to.
This great big film of Ranveer’s coming out, Gully Boy. I play a music producer in it. Ranveer is a rapper from the slums, very much inspired by rappers like Divine. Some of them are even performing in our film. Ranveer’s rapping is really on the ball. He’s been rapping since he was like 10 years old. It’s his hobby on the side, so he’s very good. I had fun. Then there’s Made in Heaven which is a web series on Amazon Prime directed by Nitya, Zoya, Prashant and Alankrita. So 4 directors. That should be an interesting show I think. It’s about rich Delhi weddings going very wrong.
Lastly, you’re the face of Indie cinema and web series, you and Radhika both actually. Do you want to do more commercial films like Yeh Jawaani Hai Dewaani?
I want to do films that people watch for sure. Of course, I do. But that’s not my ultimate priority. My ultimate priority is to get good roles, good work. Good work that challenges me or excites me. So if that film is commercial, great! But that’s not my ultimate goal. My ultimate goal is to keep acting until I am 90.
Thank you, Kalki for being so warm and candid during the interview and we can’t wait to see you on the Big screen again with Gully Boy!

2018 has seen a boom in Indian web-series and we can’t be more happy about it. Not only has it given a platform for many newcomers to gain an audience, but it has also helped blur the lines between mainstream cinema. It is safe to say 2018 has been the year of the web series. From web series written and made by stand up comedians like Kenny Sebastian, Varun Thakur, and Zakir Khan at the beginning of the year to B-Town star power and script-heavy ones like Sacred Games and Mirzapur towards the end. I personally think India has found the perfect balance with succinct scripts, great stories and brilliant acting with the web series space. So, as we’re nearing the end of the year, we have curated a list of Indian web series we loved to binge-watch in 2018.
Check it out:

The Trip 2
Chacha Vidhayak Hain Humare
This is just our list, so feel free to comment and add to this list so we can create a kickass playlist for the end of the year.

Washington: India’s growth has been “very solid” over the past four years, IMF’s Chief Economist Maurice Obstfeld on Sunday said, praising the fundamental economic reforms like the GST and the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code carried out by the government.
Maurice Obstfeld, 66, — who is set to retire this month-end — will be succeeded by Gita Gopinath, the second Indian to be appointed to the position. Former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan had served as Chief Economist of the International Monetary Fund.
“India under the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has carried out some really fundamental reforms. These include the Goods and Services Tax (GST), the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code…A lot of what they have done on financial inclusion has been really important,” Mr Obstfeld told a group of journalists here.
Summing up his impression of India’s economy in the last four-and-a-half years of the Modi government, the top IMF economist said the country’s “growth performance has been very solid”.
“I mean, not so much in the third quarter of this year, but generally it has been quite solid,” he said.
“There are important vulnerabilities, so it is important for the reform momentum to be maintained even as an election comes up and for the path of fiscal adjustment to be maintained,” Mr Obstfeld added.
He said one risk that has become much more evident in the last few years has been non-bank finance, usually called shadow banking.
“There is a big challenge of stricter, oversight,” the economist said.
Noting that there has long been a legacy of corporate debt associated with bad infrastructure projects in India, Maurice Obstfeld said it has been very concentrated in banking system.
“But as the government is trying to better oversee the banking system, these loans have migrated to shadow banking and that is an area where more needs to be done to contain financial pressures, which we are beginning to see in India,” he said.
However, with an upcoming election in the country, there is a reluctance to do anything that would slow the economy, Mr Obstfeld said, observing, “But the lesson of experiences is that financial vulnerabilities can go south very quickly”.
Maurice Obstfeld, who has served in the post of Chief Economist for more than three years, will return to the Department of Economics at the University of California, Berkeley.

Kushwaha will hold a press conference at 2 p.m. at his residence on Monday, a day ahead of the Parliament session to announce his decision.
Earlier in the day, the Minister told the media that he will not participate in the NDA meeting at Parliament House complex slated to be held at 4 p.m.
“I will not participate in the NDA meeting,” he told reporters.
Kushwaha has been critical of the BJP since it announced that the saffron party and the Janata Dal-United (JD-U) would contest 17 seats each in Bihar.
Since the seat sharing announcement, Kushwaha has been critical of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
As per the tentative arrangement, the RLSP was to be given two seats, one less than the number it had contested in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
