New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Imran Khan, the chairperson of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party (PTI) and congratulated him for his party emerging as the largest political party in the National Assembly of Pakistan in the recently conducted general elections.
The Prime Minister expressed hope that democracy will take deeper roots in Pakistan. PM Modi also reiterated his vision of peace and development in the entire neighborhood.
In Islamabad, Imran Khan’s party issued a statement that Khan thanked Prime Minister Modi for his good wishes.
“The solution to conflicts should be found through dialogue,” Khan was quoted as saying in the statement.

Meanwhile, Imran Khan has said that he will take oath as Prime Minister of Pakistan on August 11.
His party has announced that it is trying to reach out to smaller parties and independents to form the next government.
