Home Minister Amit Shah recovers after post-COVID care, discharged from AIIMS

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who was admitted to AIIMS in Delhi on August 18 for post-COVID care, has been discharged from the hospital.

“Amit Shah, Union Home Minister, is admitted at AIIMS, New Delhi for post-COVID care. He has recovered and is likely to be discharged in a short time,” the AIIMS said in a statement.

He  was admitted after he complaint of “fatigue and body ache,’’ said a statement issued by the hospital authorities.

At AIIMS, Amit Shah was under observation and a team of doctors led by AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria was monitoring his condition.

Amit Shah was the first Union cabinet minister to test positive for coronavirus.
