Good Newwz Box Office: Starring Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh, the comedy-drama is gradually turning out to be a riot at the ticket windows. The footfalls are only witnessing an upward trend with each coming day, and that’s all things good for the team.
The Raj Mehta directorial has been growing on an appreciable note with each passing day. While the total collections of Good Newwz in the past 2 days remained to be 39.34 crores, Day 3 is further a celebration call. As per the early trends flowing in, this Akshay Kumar starrer has added another 25-26 crores to its kitty.
This brings the overall collections to 64.34-65.34 crores, which is amongst Akshay Kumar’s Top 3 best opening weekends of all time. The movie might have taken a little time to create its momentum amongst the CAA protests and competition from Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3, but clearly it isn’t stopping any time soon before it breaks major records.
It will be further interesting to see how the movie fairs with the initiation of its first weekend. However, with the New Year holiday round the corner, one only expects a tremendous Week 1. However, only time will tell whether that happens or not.

Meanwhile, a PIL had been filed against the movie in Karnataka Court over its subject of sperm exchange. A Mysuru man filed a Public Interest Litigation which stated that the movie may lead to people losing faith in IVF centres, and it’s working.
While fans were worried about the PIL seeking stay of the movie’s release, a sigh of relief came in as the court adjourned the hearing until after the holidays.
