Breakups can be tough and when you’re in the limelight it can be tougher to deal with. The reason why celebrities do not prefer to open up about their relationship is because of the media eye that follows them everywhere after that. You can’t blame them. Hence, we seldom hear celebrities talk about their breakups too. But, Katrina Kaif has always been someone to break the norm and she’s done it this time as well.
The actress who was recently appreciated for her performance in Zero, opened up about her break up and how she came out of it as a better person. For those of you who were living under a rock and wasn’t aware, Katrina was dating Ranbir Kapoor about two years ago. While everyone involved has moved and is now leading a happy life, Kat talked about how she dealt with the breakup and came out of it as a better person when talking to Mumbai Mirror.
Talking about how she emerged out of the difficult breakup, she said,
I had to break before I could proceed to rebuild myself. I had to unravel and feel everything that had happened…I had to take full responsibility for my part in the equation, what I could and should have done better and accept that the parts I was not responsible for were not my problem.
The actress also revealed how her mom’s advice during the time had helped her get over it. She disclosed her mother had told her that, “So many women and girls go through the same thing, you feel you are alone but you are not.”
Talking about what she thinks about love now, she said:
I am not saying be guarded in love. No, love with all your heart. Being in a relationship is beautiful and I have a lot to give to a person. But I now know that nobody else gives you your identity.
We absolutely love how honest and real Kat always is. We’re glad that she’s come out of this much stronger. She recently talked about the equation she shares with Ranbir, his current girlfriend Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone now.
More power to you, Kat!
