New Delhi: Mobile phones of actors Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh has been seized by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in its probe into allegations of drug abuse in Bollywood related to the investigation to the death of movie star Sushant Singh Rajput.
On Saturday, Deepika Padukone was questioned for six hours on Saturday by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Mumbai. She was summoned, along with actors Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan.
Talent manager Jaya Saha and fashion designer Simone Khambatta’s phones seized and sent them for forensic examination in the case that has relied on recovered chat messages and has not led to discovery of any contraband so far.
The NCB had launched an investigation after it received official communication from the Enforcement Directorate (ED), in which there were various chats related to drug consumption, procurement, usage and transportation.
The ED had on July 31 registered an Enforcement Case Information Report in the late actor’s death case after a First Information Report was filed by Rajput’s father KK Singh against Rhea Chakraborty in Bihar on July 28.
Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai residence on June 14.
