Bhoot Box Office Day 2: Vicky Kaushal Starrer Keeps Its Hold On Saturday

Bhoot Box Office: After bringing in 5.1 crores on Friday, with Mahashivratri partial holiday helping collections to some extent, Bhoot – The Haunted Ship kept collecting on Saturday as well. The footfalls were steady enough as 5.52 crores more came. Ideally, the numbers could have jumped bigger since the capacity was there. However, Friday’s partial holiday neutralized that advantage.

Nonetheless, the two days collections for the Vicky Kaushal starrer stand at 10.62 crores and as long as the numbers stay stable on Sunday as well, it would manage to pull through. Of course, post the all time blockbuster success of Uri – The Surgical Strike, a certain segment of trade was pegging much higher numbers on the film. However, practically speaking, both films had an altogether different genre and target audience base. Bhoot – The Haunted Ship is a horror film made on a controlled budget and moreover also catering to select multiplex audiences.

The film should see further push in collections today and the higher it can go over the Friday numbers, the better it would be for the overall first week total that would come in. There is competition at the multiplexes from Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan as well but so far Bhooth – The Haunted Ship has managed to keep its own standing and it is expected that it would manage a repeat of that on Sunday as well.
