11 Beauty Resolutions Team MissMalini Broke This Year
Ah, the last day of twenty-eighteen—which only means that it’s time for the next big list of “goals” for the new year. But before you clink your glass at midnight and start pinning down your resolutions for 2019, it’s time to reflect on your current list and see how you’ve done for yourself.
That’s exactly how my morning at MMHQ started. Out of the bevy of accomplishments and hurdles with all the girls at the office, there was a sufficient low-commitment to their beauty related resolutions. And since I can’t put all of them on my Insta Story, I’ve listed them out for you (including my major hair resolution I failed to see through)!
1. “I didn’t see my coconut oil challenge through” – Prashansa
2. “I failed to start a skincare regime” – Jessica
3. “I didn’t drink enough water in a day” – Rashmi
4. “I couldn’t follow a hair care routine” – Jahanvi
5. “I kept forgetting to moisturise at night” – Akshata
6. “I didn’t eat healthy—At. All. ” – Dhanashree
7. “I failed to exfoliate” – Suruchi

9. “I couldn’t resist popping my pimple” – Harshad

Sonam Kapoor Reveals She Cried After Seeing Anushka Sharma’s Wedding Pictures
We have seen a number of weddings in the past couple of months in Bollywood. So we can definitely say that 2018 has been the year of marriages. But we also saw a celebrity wedding in 2017 that took the internet by storm with their dreamy wedding pictures. It was Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli‘s marriage. Like most of us, Sonam Kapoor too fell in love with their photos once they were out, so much so that she got emotional seeing them.
Sonam, who was on Karan Johar‘s show, Koffee With Karan with her siblings Rhea Kapoor and Harshvardhan Kapoor, revealed that she cried looking at Anushka getting married. She also spoke about the brides she liked the most this year.
She said:
I won’t name any bride as they all looked pretty. But, I cried after seeing Anushka getting married. It was one of the weddings I saw.
Rhea soon added:
I really liked Anushka. I genuinely felt happy for her.
Sonam had also wished Virushka on Twitter:
Congratulations! You guys make an amazingly beautiful couple! https://t.co/O7Aq51eLon
— Sonam K Ahuja (@sonamakapoor) December 11, 2017
Among all the celebrity weddings this year was Sonam’s. She tied the knot with Anand Ahuja in May this year.
Coming to Anushka’s wedding, didn’t we all feel super happy looking at her pictures with Virat? In case you haven’t seen their wedding video which Anushka shared on their first anniversary, you can check it out below:
Aren’t they too adorable?

9 Thoughts We’re All Having As 2018 Comes To An End
2019 is so close and everybody is losing their sh*t, TBH! While some may feel uber excited for the year to end, some may not want to bid farewell to this year at all. Irrespective, the end (of the year, chill) is here and we gotta accept it with open arms, alright? A new year brings new opportunities to do better than the last year and that’s such a great thing. But, let’s not forget how the human race works *smiles in pain*. Which is why it is safe to say that we’re all going through the same kinda emotions and feels! And what better way to cope with it than to share them with each other and laugh it off? Let’s begin!
1. Savings? What Savings?
2. Here’s To Another Unused Gym Membership. *Cheers*
3. 6 Pack Abs Arriving Defo In 2019.
4. Another Year Has Gone By And I Am Still Not An Internet Sensation.
5. Where Am I Going With My Life?
6. How Long/Short Was This Year?
7. Marked As Safe From The Marriage Wave In 2018.
8. Adult Like An Adult In 2019.
9. New Year, New Me (As Usual).

Inside story of Bigg Boss 12 Finale: How Dipika Kakkar won the trophy beating Sreesanth?
Mumbai: As the Bigg Boss Season 12 came to an end announcing Dipika Kakkar as the winner, it left other finalists Sreesanth and Deepak’s fans disappointed and saddened.
According to some reports, Sreesanth was the de-factor winner of the Bigg Boss Season 12 as he joined the reality show on condition of winning it.
However according to sources, the last day and last minute twist led Dipika Kakkar to become the Big Boss winner.
It took really long to announce and shoot the winner chunk of the finale episode as the channel Colors and production house Endemol were at loggerheads over winner’s name. The channel wanted their favourite bahu Dipika Kakkar to win while Endemol wanted Sreesanth to win. The disagreement stalled the shoot for quite some time and finally the channel won and Dipika Kakkar was announced as the winner of the show.
Though the channel and production house always claims that the Bigg Boss eviction and winners are purely based on the voting pattern but it is really hard for common audience to believe it as a fair game. Many ex-contestant have also earlier claimed that most of the show is scripted and the voting is fake.

New Delhi: Former Congress leader Sajjan Kumar who has been convicted in 1984 anti-Sikh riots case, has reached Delhi’s Karkardooma Court on Monday to surrender.
Earlier, the Delhi High Court rejected a plea seeking more time to surrender by Sajjan Kumar, who was given life imprisonment in an anti-Sikh riot case earlier this week.
Sajjan Kumar sought more time to surrender
Sajjan Kumar had sought more time to surrender so he could settle some family matters, as the court ordered him behind bars for the rest of his remaining life.
A Division Bench of Justices S. Muralidhar and Vinod Goel asked him to surrender by December 31.
Delhi High Court convicted Kumar
The Delhi High Court convicted Kumar in an anti-Sikh riot case of 1984 and sentenced him to imprisonment for the remainder of his natural life.
He was out on bail in the 1984 cases
He informed the court that he was out on bail in the 1984 cases and never flouted any bail conditions or hampered investigation and has cooperated with the probe agencies.
Sajjan Kumar and the others were charged with the killing of five Sikhs — Kehar Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Raghuvender Singh, Narender Pal Singh and Kuldeep Singh — who were members from the same family — by a mob in Delhi Cantonment’s Raj Nagar area in the wake of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s assassination by her Sikh bodyguards on October 31, 1984.

In all, petrol price has fallen by Rs 13.79 per litre since October 18. Diesel prices have declined by Rs 12.06 per litre in two and half months.
Petrol, Diesel price reach high this year
Earlier this year, Petrol price had touched a record high of Rs 84 per litre in Delhi and Rs 91.34 in Mumbai on October 4. Diesel on that day had peaked to Rs 75.45 a litre in Delhi and Rs 80.10 in Mumbai.
Prices had started to climb from August 16.
Petrol in Delhi was priced at Rs 77.14 and in Mumbai at Rs 84.58 per litre on August 15. Diesel on that day was priced at Rs 68.72 per litre in Delhi and Rs 72.96 in Mumbai.
Between August 16 and October 4, petrol price was hiked by Rs 6.86 per litre and diesel by Rs 6.73.
Government intervened to control rising fuel prices
To control the rising fuel prices, the government decided to cut excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 1.50 per litre each and asked state-owned fuel retailers to subsidise the price by another Re 1 a litre by reducing their margins. Subsequent to this, the petrol price moderated to Rs 81.50 per litre in Delhi and diesel to Rs 72.95 a litre on October 5. In Mumbai, rates fell to Rs 86.97 per litre for petrol and Rs 77.45 in case of diesel.

In Mumbai, rates touched Rs 88.29 a litre for petrol and Rs 79.35 for diesel. But since then, international oil prices have been falling and rupee has also appreciated, resulting in a decline in retail rates.

Immigrant children’s deaths ‘fault of the Democrats’: Donald Trump
Washington: US President Donald Trump on Saturday said that the Democrats shall be blamed for the latest deaths of the two children over the execution of US immigration policy.
“Any deaths of children or others at the Border are strictly the fault of the Democrats and their pathetic immigration policies that allow people to make the long trek thinking they can enter our country illegally,” he tweeted, reports Xinhua.
“They can’t. If we had a Wall, they wouldn’t even try! The two… children in question were very sick before they were given over to Border Patrol,” he added. “Border Patrol needs the Wall and it will all end.”
An 8-year-old boy from Guatemala died in government custody in the US state of New Mexico on early Tuesday, and a 7-year-old Guatemalan girl died earlier this month after being apprehended by border agents.
Trump on Friday has threatened to close the southern border, accusing Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador of “taking advantage” of his country for years.
He further complained that the opposition party shall take responsibility for the current partial shutdown of the US government.
Drew Hammill, a spokesman for Democratic House Leader Nancy Pelosi, tweeted on Thursday, “Democrats have offered Republicans three options to re-open government that all include funding for strong, sensible, and effective border security”, but not the president’s wall.
The US Senate convened briefly on Thursday afternoon before adjourning until next week, with no signs of a deal to end the budget impasse that has shut down a quarter of the federal government.

Over 8 lakh people died of cancer this year: Anupriya Patel in Lok Sabha
New Delhi: An estimated 8,01,374 people died of cancer this year as compared to 7,66,348 deaths from the disease in 2017, Minister of State for Health, Anupriya Patel told the Lok Sabha Friday.
Citing the Indian Council of Medical Research’s (ICMR)cancer registry data report, she also said that an estimated 15,86,571 cases of cancer have so far been reported this year.
According to the data submitted to the Parliament, the estimated incidence of cancer cases was 15,17,426 in 2017, 14,51,417 in 2016 and 13,88,397 in 2015.
The estimated mortality of cancer cases in India was 73,2921 in 2016, 70,1007 in 2015 and 67,0541 in 2014, it said.
The ICMR’s cancer registry data report titled ‘Three-year Report of Population Based Cancer Registries: 2012-2014, Bengaluru, 2016’ noted that the estimated number of incidence of cancer cases in the country was increasing, the minister told the Lok Sabha.
She said the government was implementing the National Programme for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes,
Cardiovascular Diseases and Stroke (NPCDCS) under the National Health Mission (NHM) to support the states and Union Territories for interventions up to district level.
The focus is on the three common cancers– oral, breast and cervical, she said.
In addition, population-based prevention, control, screening and management for hypertension, diabetes and common cancers is also being implemented in more than 200 districts under NHM, Patel added.

Arun Jaitley slams Congress, asks ‘who killed Sohrabudin case investigation’
New Delhi: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Monday hit out at the Congress, accusing it of “killing” the CBI in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh-Tulsiram Prajapati and Kausar Bi’s alleged encounter killing case.
He also said the principal Opposition party, which has been raising concerns over institutional independence, needs “serious introspection”.
“This is an irrefutable evidence of what the Congress did to our investigative agencies. Those who have recently shown a belated concern for institutional independence should seriously introspect as to what they did to the CBI when they were in power,” Jaitley said in a Facebook post.
He was referring to the judgement delivered by special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in the politically sensitive Sohrabuddin Sheikh-Tulsiram Prajapati and Kausar Bi’s alleged encounter killings case.
The court acquitted all the 22 accused saying “witnesses and proofs provided were not satisfactory”.
The court also said it was targeted “to act upon a script” and “anyhow implicate political leaders”.
Jaitley slammed Congress President Rahul Gandhi for his veiled dig at the Narendra Modi-led Central government over judicial verdicts in the case, saying “no one killed…they just died”.
“The Congress President on the day of the judgement raised the issue ‘that nobody killed Sohrabudin’. It would have been more appropriate if he had asked the right question, namely who killed Sohrabudin case investigation, he would have got the right answer,” he said.
He said the Special CBI Judge, Mumbai, who deals with CBI cases has acquitted all the accused in the Sohrabudin case.
“More relevant than the order of the acquittal is the observation of the judge that in the investigation, from the very beginning, the investigating agency did not investigate the case professionally in order to find out the truth but to divert it towards certain political persons,” he said.
The senior BJP leader also shared a letter written to then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on September 27, 2013 as the Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha about the alleged politicisation of the investigation in the Sohrabudin, Tulsi Prajapati, Ishrat Jahan, Rajinder Rathore and Haren Pandya cases.
“Every word of what I have said in the letter, over the next five years, have proven to be true,” he said.
Special CBI Judge S.J. Sharma in a strong indictment of the CBI had said that the entire investigation was targeted to act upon a script to achieve the said goal and in the process of its zeal to anyhow implicate political leaders.
“It clearly appears that the CBI was more concerned in establishing a particular preconceived and premeditated theory, rather than finding out the truth,” said Special Judge Sharma.
