Varun Dhawan says we all have something to learn from ‘The Rock’, Dwayne Johnson
Moneycontrol and IAMAI ( Internet and Mobile Association of India ) concluded the 4th edition of Digital Marketers’ Awards on Wednesday, where Varun was awarded the Best Digital Personality of the Year Award
At the event, Varun then addressed a few questions his favorite media personalities and about India going digital.
The October actor revealed, his favorite social media personality is The Rock. Talking about him he said, “I think we all have something to learn from that man.”
On Digital India Varun said The film Industry has finally woken up to the importance of Digital Presence. He said, “Most of the youth is on the Internet. In fact, when I was shooting for my film ‘Sui Dhaaga…’ in Chanderi, most televisions didn’t work and there were no cinemas. But everyone had high-speed internet, which is probably how they know me; through my songs and videos on YouTube. Digital India is way bigger than we think and our film industry has woken up to its importance and now uses it to reach out to the masses.”
Varun was last seen alongside, Anushka Sharma in the Yash Raj Films banner production, ‘Sui Dhaaga’.
He will be next seen in ‘Kalank’ with debut co-star Alia Bhatt., Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Kunal Khemu, and Sanjay Dutt.
The multi starrer is directed by Abhishek Varman and produced by Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala.
