New Delhi: An Uber Driver waited 1.5 hours with female passengers and ensuring their safety.
People coming forward to make sure that every workplace is safe and secure for women, an Uber driver set a perfect example of the fact that humanity still prevails.
A female passenger named Priyashmita Guha told cab aggregator Uber through Twitter how a driver associated with them stood his ground and ensured that she and her mother made it home safe.
Her post read, “hey @Uber_India , wanted to tell you about your driver Santosh. Last night the place we were staying had it’s gate was closed. It was 1 AM. He refused to let us go & waited for 1.5 hours till we got in. Kudos to him. Mom and I eternally grateful”

She also mentioned that her mother and she hailed an Uber on October 13 and were driven by a driver named Santosh to their home. She revealed that the two ladies reached home at 1 am but it was locked from inside. Guha was all praise for the driver that he was human enough to stay there and make sure that the two are safe.
Responding to her, Uber India issued replied to her on Twitter with a post saying, “The ability to truly go the extra mile and cater to one another in tough times is something that we are proud to recognize in #uberstar Santosh. Thanks for sharing. You made us smile, ear to ear!”
