New Delhi: Another horrific incident of acid attack has come to light, and this time from Nagaon district in Assam.
A girl was attacked with acid in Kaliabar of Nagaon district after she refused to accept the proposal of the attacker.
According to the media reports the incident took place in Kaliabar’s Sarishabari when the girl along with her mother and brother were returning home from a Durga Puja Pandal.
The family was injured in the attack and was immediately rushed to Nagaon Civil Hospital. The incident occurred at the wee hours of Thursday.
Acid attack in Assam
The attacker identified as Sanjay Sarkar escaped from the scene and is absconding till the filing of the report.
Girl attacked with acid in Banderdewa
It may be recalled that on October 8 too, a girl was attacked with acid in Banderdewa of Lakhimpur district in Assam.
The incident took place in Banderdewa’s Pathali Pahar where the girl resides. She was on her way back from college when she was attacked.
